Meet Our Team
ASHIRAF KAABA
Born and raised in Uganda, Africa, Ashiraf Kaaba honed his love for humanitarianism early in life. He started his original non-profit, Integrated Bayouth Dreams, to support local dance acts and raise awareness for malaria at an early age and has been in love with touching the lives of others ever since.
He enjoys exploring new things and meeting people from across the globe. Ashiraf’s dream is to improve life for his young generation and empower others to become agents for change in Uganda. He Founded Hearts 4 Community Action as a response to witnessing the poverty and lack of substantial educational resources in his community, and believes that well-informed citizens will provide sustainable development and growth in the Jinja community.
Ashiraf has participated in educational initiatives such as G.L.O.W Camp (Girls Leading Our World) with Peace Corps Uganda, led library building projects for MM Wanyange Primary School in Jinja, Uganda, along with writing curriculum for Hearts for Community’s various educational workshops. He enjoys reading, listening to music and watching movies with mountains of popcorn.
VASHALICE HOWARD
Born and raised in Plant City, Florida, Vashalice Howard is a graduate research assistant at Iowa State University and Public Relation Specialist for Hearts 4 Community Action formerly known as Integrated Bayouth Dreams. She first started working with Hearts 4 Community Action in 2016 while serving as an Educational Volunteer with Peace Corps Uganda. Prior to this she was a Literacy Specialist at Homestead Middle School in Miami, FL. After a successful tour of volunteer service with Peace Corps and AmeriCorps respectively, she was brought on as a permanent board member in 2017, overseeing stateside public relations operations for Hearts 4 Community Action. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Education and research interest of Children’s Literature and Early Childhood Literacy. Vashalice is currently working on a children’s book as well. Vashalice enjoys reading, traveling and baking in her spare time, and is available for marketing and service project inquiry on behalf of Hearts 4 Community Action.
GEORGIA VAN CUYLENBURG
Georgia is a philanthropist, activist and entertainment personality who has dedicated her life to creating solutions for those born into an unjust experience of our world.Georgia is heavily involved with a variety of local and global children’s nonprofit organizations; In addition to H4CA, Georgia founded Arts Bridging the Gap in the US and Women’s Community Leadership Program in Ethiopia.S he is on a mission to end the global epidemic of childhood trauma and isn’t afraid to use whatever means of art, technology or love is needed to do it. She works and speaks internationally on the platforms of children's rights, poverty alleviation, female empowerment and ending homelessness. She is also a global advocate for the auto immune condition Alopecia Areata and is a vocal supporter of mental health awareness and solutions. She is also the owner of the production company I am Spartacus Entertainment that creates socially conscious positive content that makes people laugh, learn and be inspired to make a difference in the world.
